We have been fortunate enough to have our students taught by some of the best educators here in the South over my last 3 seasons outdoors, and I am extremely excited to have Mark and Steve join me on the design team for this new adventure as we head to WGI as the newest IW Marching Percussion Ensemble here in the South. Their wealth of experience, and proven track record of great shows, successful ensembles and students they have turned out is going to make for a great fit here at CVI! Mark Reynolds
Mark Reynolds

Mark Reynolds, currently from Columbus Ohio, will be joining CV Indoor this year and brings a wealth of knowledge about the indoor activity and a track record of success putting together programs and developing new ensembles.

Mark has spent the last 25 years writing, arranging, and consulting for some of the finest programs in the country. Mark has arranged and taught for top WGI groups such as RhythmX, Redline,Thomas Worthington, Hilliard Bradley, Capital Regiment, Tyler Jr. College and other fine programs across the country. Mark will handle the front ensemble arranging and programming for Atlanta CV Indoor in 2015.

Steven Hegemier

Steven Hegemier is a visual designer based in Columbus Ohio. Steve has worked closely with Mark Reynolds with several of his successful indoor ensembles. His past DCI design credits include the Boston Crusaders and Phantom Regiment. He has written for and taught over 25 BOA Regional Finalists.

Steven is the designer for WGI Finalists Westerville North and Hilliard Darby as well as Scholastic Open Champion Thomas Worthington.

Chris Romanowski
Chris Romanowski

Chris Romanowski was hired by the Atlanta CV as Percussion Caption Head and Arranger in 2011. In 2 short seasons CV made a leap into the top 6 corps in DCA earning the highest score for a corps from the South in 50 seasons of DCA. In Chris's 3rd season they beat their own record.

Chris has had the pleasure to work with and write for groups including the Plymouth Canton HS from MI, Etiwanda HS from CA, and the Hillgrove HS from Cobb County GA. Chris's groups have won 14 Bands of America Regional Championships, and 2 Bands of America National Championships.

Chris has also been the Caption Head and Arranger for The Magic of Orlando, The Rochester Patriots Drum Corps, and the Pride of Soka Drum Corps from Japan. With Chris as arranger and Caption Head, The Patriots won the DCI Div II High Percussion Trophy and his group from Japan, Pride of Soka, won the High Percussion trophy in the Drum Corps Japan Championships.

Chris has been a Percussion Judge for DCI since 2007, and has judged during DCI's Championships the past 2 seasons for the Open Class, and I&E. Chris is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston with a BM in Music Performance with a drum set focus.

Patrick Erwin
Patrick Erwin

Patrick Erwin is currently the Director of Bands at Hillgrove High School. Patrick was a member of the Visual Staff for the World Champion Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, Rosemont, IL From 2002-2008 Prior to becoming a staff member, he marched in the Cavaliers (2000-2001). During Patricks time with the Cavaliers, they won 5 DCI World Championships. Patrick also marched in the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps (96-99).

From 2000-2006, Patrick was the Visual Coordinator for the Alan C Pope High School Marching Band, Marietta, GA, taking over Drill Design responsibilities in 2005. Also, in 2002, he was visual coordinator for the Carlton J Kell High School’s first-year marching band.

Patrick completed his Specialist Degree in Music Education at Auburn University and also holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia’s Hugh Hodgson School of Music, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Music.

Kari White
Kari White

Kari spent 7 seasons marching in drum corps with The Blue Knights, Santa Clara Vanguard, and the Concord Blue Devils. For the last 18 years, he has worked with many visual programs such as the Glassmen, Cadets of Bergen County, Carolina Crown, Madison Scouts, Arizona Academy of the Arts, and was visual caption head for the Boston Crusaders. The last five years, Kari has worked with the 16 time world champion Concord Blue Devils. Kari has also worked with many high school marching bands such as Northglenn High School, Clovis West High School, Corona del Sol High School, Buchanan High School, and Kennesaw Mountain High School among many others.

Kari graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Georgia Southwestern State University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from California State University Fresno, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership (Higher Education-Student Affairs). Kari was most recently employed at St. Cloud State University as an Assistant Director of Greek Life.

Corey Sajous
Corey Sajous - Battery Focus

Corey Sajous was a student of Chris Romanowski's during his time at Wheeler H.S. Corey marched Atlanta Quest in 2008, Odyssey Percussion Theater in 2009/2010, and Alliance in 2010. In 2011 he marched Snare with the WGI World Champion Music City Mystique. In 2012 Corey aged out in The Concord Blue Devils winning High Percussion. Corey has also performed with "niner noise", and the warriors "after shock" drumline. He is now currently performing with the Atlanta Falcons drum line and can be found on many tv shows and movies being filmed in the Atlanta area including as a Zombie in the Walking Dead.

Joseph Stephens
Joseph Stephens - Battery Focus

Joseph is a part of the Marching Southerners, JSU's Marching Band. He is currently in his sixth year with the Southerners. Joseph is currently the Drum Captain for the Southerners. Joseph has also performed in many independent ensembles. He was a member of Odyssey Percussion Theater in 2009, Atlanta Quest in 2014, and Spirit of Atlanta.

Joseph is from Newnan Georgia, he graduated from East Coweta High School in 2009. He is currently attending Jacksonville State University where he is working toward a degree in Music Education.

Joseph has written for and taught many high school groups in both Georgia and Alabama. Including East Coweta High School, Carrollton High School, Baldwin High School, Gilmer County High School, Jacksonville High School, Calera High School, and Shelby County High School.

Robert Melville
Robert Melville - Battery Focus

Robert is from the northwest Georgia area. He attended Jacksonville State University and The State University of West Georgia. He has worked with and arranged for various school programs in the north and west Georgia areas including Dalton high, Gordon Central, Coosa, and Temple high schools. He is currently in his fourth season with Calhoun High school where he is an employee of the Calhoun City schools. Robert has marched with the University of West Georgia's marching band, the Atlanta CorpsVets, and Frequency Inc. He is a charter member of and was on staff with Frequency Inc, a three time WGI finalist in the PIA caption. Robert was an instructor at Shorter University in 2011-12 seasons. In 2012 he was on staff with Pioneer in DCI world class, in the summer of 2014 Robert was apart of the Atlanta CV percussion staff.

Bobby Crosby
Bobby Crosby - Front Ensemble Focus

Bobby Crosby is currently in his 14th year as a music educator and is in his first year as the front ensemble tech for the Hillgrove High School band program.

Bobby holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Valdosta State University. He also holds Bachelor degrees in Music Performance and Music Education from Valdosta State University. While at Valdosta State University, he studied percussion under Dr. David Morris, Dr. Nicholas Holland, and Mr. Paul Campiglia.

Bobby has been performing professionally since 1986 and has shared the stage with steel pan artists such as Andy Narell, Jeff Narell, Robert Greenidge, Ray Holman, Liam Teague, and Tom Miller. Bobby has also performed with Atlanta CV outdoors playing Marimba.

Josh Robichaux
Josh Robichaux - Front Ensemble Focus, Electronics Specialist

Josh Robichaux a native of Houma, Louisiana resides in Kennesaw, Georgia and is the assistant director and percussion director of the Carrollton HS Band. He graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Recording and Live Sound with a concentration in Percussion Performance. While at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Mr. Robichaux studied under Jeff Prosperie and Adam Mason. He performed with the university’s Wind Ensemble, Steel Band, Japanese Taiko Ensemble, West African Drum and Dance Ensemble, Brazilian Ensemble, Marching Band and the ULL Indoor Drumline. He was a member of the Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps from 2001-2002 and has served as a staff member for that group from 2003-2007.

Joel Boss
Joel Boss - Front Ensemble Focus

Joel Boss is currently an active freelance musician in the greater Atlanta area, as well as, an Artist Affiliate at Emory University, and percussion instructor at Lassiter High School. He is also an instructor at the Westminster Schools and tours regularly with his own percussion trio, North Star Percussion.

Mr. Boss holds a Master of Music in percussion performance from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Music in percussion performance from Florida State University. His primary instructors include Dr. John Parks, Joseph Gramley, Michael Udow, Michael Gould, Ian Ding, Brian Jones, Cary Kocher, Bill Wilder, and Beth Gotlieb.
